BIOSTAQ
Privacy

Your data, yours.
Always.

Health data is the most personal data you have. We treat it that way. This page explains exactly how Biostaq handles your information—the plain-English version first, the full policy below.

Last updated: May 2026

  • Your data is yours

You own everything you give us. Export it, delete it, or take it elsewhere—any time, no questions.

  • Encrypted end to end

Bank-level encryption in transit and at rest. Field-level encryption for biomarker and lab values.

  • Never sold. Period.

We don't sell, rent, or trade your data. We don't run third-party ads. We never will.

What we collect

We collect information you give us directly (name, email, biomarker entries, wearable connections) and a small amount of operational data needed to run the service (auth tokens, device fingerprints used for security, basic page analytics).

We do not collect anything you haven't consented to. You can review every category in your settings and toggle most of it off without losing core functionality.

How we use it

Your data powers your protocols, your insights, and the trends we surface to you. Aggregate, fully anonymized data may be used to improve recommendations across the user base.

We do not use your data to train external AI models. We do not share it with brokers, advertisers, employers, or insurers.

Where it lives

Data is stored in encrypted databases hosted in HIPAA-eligible regions. Backups are encrypted and rotated. Access is limited to a small set of engineers under strict audit logging.

If you ask us to delete your account, we erase your records within 30 days, including from backups on their next rotation cycle.

Your rights

You can request a full export at any time, change or correct any field, and ask us to forget you entirely. If you're a resident of the EU, UK, California, or another jurisdiction with formal data rights, those rights apply unconditionally.

Reach us at privacy@biostaq.com for any data request. We aim to respond within 5 business days.

Cookies & analytics

We use a small set of first-party cookies for authentication and remembering preferences. We use privacy-preserving analytics (no cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting) to understand which features people use.

There are no third-party advertising trackers on this site.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll email you and post a notice at least 14 days before they take effect. You'll always have the option to delete your account if you don't agree.
